How dashboard scores and sources work

This directory helps you shortlist game-development tools. It does not provide independently verified benchmarks or a customer-review database.

What the scores mean

The existing 1–10 values are editorial estimates inherited from the previous directory. Their original evidence sources, assessment dates and hands-on test records were not recorded. We cannot substantiate a hands-on testing claim for these scores. They remain visible for comparison and are labeled as estimates.

The overall score is the arithmetic mean of all eight criteria, rounded to one decimal place. All criteria have equal weight. No customer rating count or aggregate-review markup is published.

Evidence and review dates

Provider-page desk review: 20 October 2026. All 54 listings were reviewed, prioritizing common 3D, code, image and audio workflows. This order is an editorial choice, not a measured popularity ranking. There are 29 provider-source checks, including usage models, limited free versions and discontinued products; this is not a claim of 29 verified monthly subscriptions. The other 25 have unresolved current pricing: stale amounts and unconfirmed free-tier flags were withdrawn. Every entry below records its source, outcome and date. Capability and integration flags are inherited unless a specific provider fact is stated; no engine compatibility test was performed.

Before treating a score as measured evidence

A documented hands-on evaluation must record the product version and plan, engine and hardware, test prompts or fixtures, outputs, processing time, assessor and date. No such test log is currently attached to these scores. Test shortlisted products on the same representative task in your own project.

Pricing and commercial use

Prices are listed in USD and can vary by billing period, region, taxes, credits and API use. A provider-source check applies only to the stated fact and billing basis. An attempted review date is not successful price verification. Promotional prices, annual commitments, self-hosting costs and usage fees are explicitly distinguished. A licensing score is not a guarantee of legal clearance. Review the relevant model, provider terms, inputs and finished outputs.

Sponsored placements

The dashboard displays labeled sponsored ads and referral links. These are separate from the tool listings. We have not established a documented historical sponsorship policy for the inherited scores and do not claim that all prior assessments were independent.
